The space is absolutely amazing. Multiple rooms, make it perfect for multiple artist showing, or multiple parts of one show. It was very inviting to me. I spent some time looking for a program. Also, it was opening day so it had many guests. Took my boyfriend and I about an hour to enjoy.
It was a nice museum, not very big. The upstairs was quite simplistic, but downstairs had an interesting set up of a bronze based installation. Did not spend over an hour here though.
Loved the space, not the exhibits. Sorry, they just did not engage me. The building was beautiful, brick, metal columns & doors. Light ,outside garden space. The cellar had little rooms and spaces that were great for displaying different exhibits. You could fee former fireplace spaces and mechanical areas. Again, really great space. Street level. I could see it being used for events.
Odd place. Let’s call it a gallery. There were 3 active ‘exhibits’ and we were done in about 15 minutes. The architecture is great and the basement was interesting. But to add bronze tools to it and call it a show was kind of humorous, especially one called ‘Closed for Installation’. ‘More or Less Bone’ says it pretty clearly. We did not connect with ‘Cadena Perpetua’ (LOL). Well, always worth donating $30 to the arts.
Very interesting space to show sculpture in, the building does compete with the work in some instances and often wins
